All in all, if your're a Logitech UltraX lover and you're in a need for a new keyboard, Cherry Stream XT is the best direct replacement. It just feels really solid in every possible aspect. You can read more about it below.Ĭompact size, flat keys (I just prefer them), precise vertical motion of keys with really nice feedback, nearly no wobble, well arranged multimedia keys on top and a really good price for what it offers. What I didn't expect was the MASSIVE disappointment over Logitech keyboards. It resembles UltraX the closest by design, has flat keys, has multimedia keys, has big enter, keys have a decent feedback even though they are membrane based and not mechanical and best of all it's just as compact as UltraX. Ok, so, I've been at the shop and I haven't bought any of the mentioned keyboards XD In the end I've bought a Cherry Stream XT Black.
That doesn't sound like a lot right?Īlso, anyone knows how good is the space key if you are using it off-center? I'm assuming mechanical keys should be a bit more durable as a whole compared to fragile mechanism on UltraX paired with rubber contact.Īnyway, anyone owns one here? Does it have any problems or issues I should worry about? Any durability/quality issues? What confuses me a bit is just 2mm key travel. That scroll volume control is not the best but I'll get used to it somehow. Would prefer lower keys like on UltraX but I know that's unlikely on mechanical keyboards which are the shit these days. This one seems to have everything I need + illumination which is not necessity but I think I'll like it. And because the service center provided me with amazing support I'm kinda leaning towards Logitech again.
Best keyboard I've ever owned, my 3rd one in a row. And since Logitech is not selling them anymore, I have to find an alternative. My trusty Logitech UltraX crapped out after years of loyal service and the broken space key is apparently unfixable, because I can't figure out why is it getting stuck on one side.
